ABOUT THE BOAT
The “SAND WITCH” is a 26’ Fortier down east style fishing boat built by Al Fortier of Somerset, Massachusetts www.fortierboats.com. It is equipped with a Volvo inboard diesel motor, 10’ beam, all electronics, two 40 gal. bait tanks and large open deck space. The boat has fished the Atlantic and Pacific waters.
ABOUT THE CREW
My name is Capt. Greg Noonan. I’m a USCG 50 ton Licensed Captain. “I am the crew, Captain, deckhand, tour guide” and the owner/operator of Sand Witch Sportfishing. I have been a fisherman my whole life and have fished from Dana Point, CA down the Baja pennisula to La Paz, Mexico in the Sea of Cortez. My other experences include running skiffs inside of San Ignacio Lagoon and Magdalena Bay in southern Baja to see the breeding and nursery grounds of the California Grey Whales. WHAT TO BRING
All anglers must bring their own valid California State Fishing License with an Ocean Enhancement Stamp. It is required to fish and spearfish, a Lobster Report Card is also required to hoop net. A Mexican Fishing Permit is required if fishing in Mexican waters. If you don’t have the required licenses you can purchase a daily license or a full season license at any of our local sporting goods or tackle shops.
If you plan to bring beverages, please do not bring glass bottles for safety reasons. There is a cooler on board.
All anglers need to bring their own:
breakfast/lunch/snacks/drinks/warm clothing/hats/sun glasses/cameras/sunscreen.
